Disable Pop-up Blockers

Please disable any pop-up blockers you may have running. If you are using software that disables pop-up browser windows you may need to disable this feature in order to successfully download your files. If this becomes necessary, here's How to Disable your Pop-up Blocker:

Internet Explorer 6 (on Window XP service pack 2)

The version of IE 6 included in the Service Pack 2 version of Window XP has a built in pop-up blocker. To allow pop-ups for a particular site you need to add that site to a list:

  • From the 'Tools' menu select 'Pop-up Blocker > Pop-up Blocker Settings...'
  • In the 'Pop-up Blocker Settings' dialog box type: www.nativityplay.com and click the 'Add' button. About the IE 6 pop-up blocker

FireFox

To allow pop-ups for a particular site you need to add that site to a list:

  • Click the 'Tools' menu at the top of your browser, and select 'Options'
  • Click 'Content'
  • Click 'Allowed Sites' next to 'Block Popup Windows'
  • In the 'Allowed Sites' dialog box type the name of the site: www.nativityplay.com and click the 'Allow' button

Netscape 8.1

To verify the settings for the popup blocker feature in Netscape 8.1:

To allow pop-ups for a particular site you need to show all pop-ups:

  • Click on the bottom right of the browser window labeled Security Center , and choose the Popup Blocking option.
  • Please review the settings and make changes as necessary.

Opera

To allow pop-ups for a particular site you need to show all pop-ups:

  • Click the 'Tools' menu at the top of your browser, and select 'Preferences'
  • Click 'Pop-Ups' and Hit drop down arrow to 'Show All Popups'

Additionally, In Opera 8 and higher, when you come across a page that has a popup, a box will appear in the upper right corner stating that it disabled the window from popping up. When this little window appears, you can click it and it will open the window for you (in the window itself, it displays text that the window was blocked and that if the user clicks on the window, the blocked window will open).

Google Toolbar

You can disable pop-up blocking for Nativityplay.com by simply clicking the pop-up blocker button on the Google toolbar anytime after you arrive at the site. About the Google pop-up blocker

Norton Internet Security

To disable Pop-up blocking:

  • Open Norton Internet Security.
  • Double-click 'Ad Blocking'.
  • Disable 'Turn on Pop-up Window Blocking'.
  • Click 'OK'.
  • Restart your computer.

Other pop-up blockers

These include: Netscape 7, the Yahoo Toolbar, and the MSN Toolbar. These follow a similar procedure to that for Internet Explorer 6. You simply add: www.nativityplay.com to a list of trusted sites.

Third Party Blockers

Click on each icon in your System Tray located by the clock in the lower-right corner of your screen. Close or temporarily disable any programs that are installed to block popup windows.
You will need to consult the documentation that came with the popup blocker program installed on your system as we are unable to advise how to disable every manufacturer's software product.

Temporary Internet Files / Cache

Make sure you have plenty of space reserved for temporary internet files / cache. Here's how:  

To clear your cache in Internet Explorer:

  1. Close all open browser windows including www.nativityplay.com.
  2. Click the 'Tools' menu at the top of your browser, and select 'Internet Options.'
  3. Click the 'General' tab at the top of the dialog box.
  4. Click 'Delete Files' under 'Temporary Internet files.'
  5. Select 'Delete all offline content' by checking the box.
  6. Click 'OK.'
To clear your cache in Netscape and Mozilla:
  1. Close all open browser windows including www.nativityplay.com
  2. Click the 'Edit' menu at the top of your browser, and select 'Preferences.'
  3. Click the '+' next to 'Advanced.'
  4. Select 'Cache' under 'Advanced.'
  5. Click 'Clear Cache.'
  6. Click 'OK.'
To clear your cache in Mozilla Firefox:
  1. Close all open browser windows including www.nativityplay.com
  2. Click the 'Tools' menu at the top of your browser, and select 'Options.'
  3. Click 'Privacy.'

To clear your cache in Safari:
  1. Close all open browser windows including www.nativityplay.com
  2. Open the 'Safari' menu on your browser's toolbar.
  3. Select 'Empty Cache.'
  4. Click 'Empty' in the dialogue box.
To clear your cache in Opera:
  1. Close all open browser windows including www.nativityplay.com
  2. Click the 'Tools' menu at the top of your browser, and select 'Preferences'.
  3. Click the 'Advanced' Tab.
  4. Click History->Memory Cache and Disk cache.
  5. Click 'Empty Now' button.

Please ensure that you have the Adobe Acrobat Reader installed on your computer; this is (required) to view and print some your Christmas Nativity Play files. How to Enable Cookies

You must have your Cookies Enabled:

To enable Cookies for your browser, please apply the following 2 steps:

Step 1 - Enable Cookies for your browser (See instructions below)

Step 2 - IMPORTANT: Ensure Clean/Sweep "Internet Clutter" is OFF - If you have any anti-virus, fire-wall, or other scheduled anti-malware running on your computer, please ensure Clean/Sweep "Internet Clutter" is turned OFF. Otherwise, this will periodically delete your cookies.

A cookie file is used to identify you while you are using a site and when you return to a Web site. The cookie file is written to your hard drive and you can delete it at any time.

A cookie file only contains the following information:

  • that you visited the Web site
  • the time that you visited the site
  • the pages you visited
  • and the member name that you last used to access the site (if you created a user name).

A cookie file does NOT contain any personal information about you. It simply points to a user name in our database that holds the information you entered the previous time(s) you visited. The only way to gain access to the database where you store your information is to enter your password.

First, make sure your computers time zone and time are set correctly. For Windows double click on the clock in the lower right hand corner of your screen to open your Date and Time Properties window. Select the Time Zone tab at the top and verify your computers time zone is set correctly.

  • Select "Internet Options" from the Tools menu.
  • Click on the "Privacy" tab.
  • Click the "Default" button (or manually slide the bar down to "Medium") under "Settings".

  • Click on the "Security" tab.
  • Click the "Custom Level" button.
  • Scroll down to the "Cookies" section.
  • To enable:
    • Set "Allow cookies that are stored on your computer" to "Enable".

  • Click on the arrow next to "Privacy & Security" in the scrolling window to expand.
  • Under "Privacy & Security", select "Cookies."

  • Select "Preferences" from the Edit menu.
  • Find the "Cookies" section in the "Advanced" category.
  • To enable:

How to Disable 3rdParty Browser Extensions

If you're having trouble accessing our site using Internet Explorer 6.0, you will want to disable all of your third-party browser extensions.

Inside Internet Exlorer, go to Tools->Internet Options and then in the window, choose the tab labeled "Advanced". Scroll the list down until you see the heading "Browsing", and look for the checkbox associated with "Enable all third-party browser extensions (requires restart)". Make certain that this box is unchecked, and then close all Internet Explorer browser windows. Once you've done this, you can start Internet Explorer again and try accessing the site again.

Internet Explorer 5, 6, and 7

  • From the browser's Tools menu select "Internet Options..."
  • Select the Security tab.
  • Click the "Internet zone" icon.
  • Click the "Custom Level..." button.
  • Scroll down the Settings list to the Scripting item. (You may need to double-click on icons to expand lists.
  • Under the "Active scripting" item, choose the Enable radio button.
  • Click OK and Yes to confirm and close the Security Settings dialog box, then OK again to close the Internet Options dialog box.
  • Reload/Refresh the current page.

Internet Explorer 4

  • Select Internet Options from the View menu.
  • Click the Security tab.
  • Click Custom.
  • Click Settings.
  • Scroll down to locate Scripting.
  • Click Enable for Active Scripting.
  • Click OK.
  • Reload/Refresh the current page.

FireFox

  • Select "Options" from the Tools menu.
  • Click on "Web Features".
  • Select "Enable JavaScript".
  • Click "OK".

Netscape 7

  • Open Netscape.
  • Select Preferences from the Edit menu.
  • Click the arrow next to Advanced.
  • Click Scripts & Plugins.
  • Check Navigator beneath "Enable Javascript for".
  • Click OK.

  • From the browser's Edit menu select "Preferences..."
  • Within the Category pick list, select the word Advanced.
  • Check the box labeled Enable JavaScript for Navigator and push the OK button to close the Preferences dialog box.
  • Reload/Refresh the current page.

Netscape 4

  • Open Netscape.
  • Select Preferences from the Edit menu.
  • Click Advanced.
  • Check both Enable Java and Enable JavaScript
  • Click OK.
  • Reload/Refresh the current page.

AOL 4.0 and 5.0

  • Click My AOL.
  • Click Preferences.
  • Click WWW.
  • Click the Security tab.
  • Click Custom.
  • Click Settings.
  • Scroll down to locate Scripting.
  • Click Enable for Active Scripting.
  • Click OK, then click the Reload button.
  • Note to AOL 4.0 & 5.0 users
    When using the AOL browser, you may get a Javascript error but, when using an external browser (i.e., Netscape or Internet Explorer) this does not occur. AOL uses compressed graphics by Default. This doesn't allow Java to work while browsing inside AOL. (Additionally, this makes photos you view on web pages look less than optimal.)

    Do the following:
    Click My AOL.
    Click Preferences.
    Click the WWW icon.
    Click Web Graphics tab.
    Uncheck the box next to Use Compressed Graphics.
    Click OK Restart the computer.
    Note that there are both 16-bit and 32-bit versions of AOL 4.0. Only the 32-bit version has full Java capabilites.

Mozilla 1.X

  • Open Mozilla.
  • Select Preferences from the Edit menu.
  • Click the arrow next to Advanced.
  • Click Scripts & Plugins.
  • Check Navigator beneath "Enable Javascript for".
  • Click OK.
  • Reload/Refresh the current page.

Opera 5.X

  • Open Opera.
  • Select Quick Preferences from the File menu.
  • Make sure Enable Javascript is checked.
  • Reload/Refresh the current page.

Opera 7.X

  • Open Opera.

Follow these Tips to make sure you receive Email from NativityPlay.com

Step #1 : Add the "From" name of service@nativityplay.com to your address book.

Below you will find instructions on how to do this for many of the more popular email providers.

AOL

For AOL version 9.0 : Add the sending address to your "People I Know" list.

  • Open the last email you received from service@nativityplay.com .
  • Click the Add Address button (over on the right) to add that sender to your "People I Know" list.

If you can't figure out how to use the ADD ADDRESS feature, just send an email to service@nativityplay.com and that will do the job of adding us to YOUR "People I Know" list.

If you're using an earlier version of AOL, you'll need to set your Mail Controls instead. Here's how:

  • Go to Keyword Mail Controls .
  • Select the screen name the email from service@nativityplay is coming to.
  • Click Customize Mail Controls For This Screen Name .

  For AOL version 8.0 : Select Allow email from all AOL members, email addresses and domains .

  • Click Next until the Save button shows up at the bottom.
  • Click Save .

For AOL version 7.0 : In the section for "exclusion and inclusion parameters", include the domain of the "From" address (nativityplay.com)

Yahoo

To ensure that email from service@nativityplay.com is delivered to your Yahoo Inbox (not the Bulk Mail folder), you can instruct Yahoo to filter it to your Inbox. Here's how:

  • Open your Yahoo mailbox.
  • Click Mail Options .
  • Click Filters .
  • Next, click Add Filter .
  • In the top row, labeled From header: , make sure contains is selected in the pull-down menu.
  • Click in the text box next to that pull-down menu, then enter the address service@nativityplay.com
  • At the bottom, where it says Move the message to , select Inbox from the pull-down menu.
  • Click the Add Filter button again.

Hotmail

If you're using Hotmail, you can ensure that email from service@nativityplay.com is delivered to your Inbox by adding the "From" address to your Safe List . Here's how:

  • Log on and click the Mail tab to get into your mailbox.
  • Click Options (it's over at the top right, next to Help ).
  • Click Junk e-Mail Protection .
  • Select Safe List .
  • In the space provided, enter the address service@nativityplay.com
  • Click Add .
  • When you see the address you entered in the Safe List box, click OK .

Alternatively, you can add the "From" address to your Contacts list:

  • Open the most recent e-mail from the sender you want to whitelist.
  • Click the Save Address button. (It's over to the right in the line of options just above the e-mail.)
  • Click OK .

Outlook 2003

If you're using Outlook 2003 for your e-mail, you can make sur e email from service@nativityplay.com is delivered to your Inbox by letting Outlook know you consider it safe. There are a few ways you can do this:

  • Open any e-mail from service@nativityplay.com , then add the sender ( service@nativityplay.com ) or the sender's domain (nativityplay.com) to your Safe List.

Or…

  • Add the address service@nativityplay.com to Personal Contacts in your Outlook Address Book.

Or…

  • Open any e-mail from service@nativityplay.com , then select Mark as Not Junk
  • Add the senders domain (nativityplay.com) to your Safe List.

Earthlink

If you're using Earthlink, you can make sure email from service@nativityplay.com is delivered to your Inbox by adding the sending address to your Address Book. Here's how:

  • Click on Address Book (it's over on the left, below your Folders).
  • When your Address Book opens, click the Add button.
  • On the Add Contact screen, find the Internet Information box.
  • Enter the address service@nativityplay.com into the top Email box.
  • Click Save .

  MSN

If you're using MSN version 9 for your e-mail, you can make sure email from service@nativityplay.com is delivered to your Inbox by adding the sending address to your Safe List. Here's how:

  • Click on Settings: E-mail | Junk e-mail (it's at the bottom left of the screen, just above Calendar ).
  • On the E-mail settings screen, click Junk E-Mail Guard .
  • Select Safe List .
  • In the space provided under "Add people to the safe list", enter the address  service@nativityplay.com
  • Click Add .

For older versions of MSN , you add our sending address to your Safe List like this:

  • Click on E-mail settings (it's at the bottom left of the screen, just above Calendar ).
  • On the E-mail settings screen, click Junk Mail .
  • Select Safe List .
  • Click Add an item to this list .
  • When the Add To Safe List box appears, enter the address  service@nativityplay.com
  • Click Add .

Verizon

If you're using Verizon for e-mail, you can ensure that email from service@nativityplay.com is delivered to your Inbox by adding the "From" address to your Safe List. Here's how:

  • Go to your Verizon Inbox.
  • Click Options .
  • Select the Block Senders tab (near the top of the screen).
  • On the Block Senders screen, you'll see both a "Block Sender List" and a "Safe List". In the space where it says, "Enter e-mail address or sub domain to always accept even if the domain is blocked", enter the address service@nativityplay.com

gmail

If you're using Google's gmail for e-mail, you can ensure that email from service@nativityplay.com is delivered to your Inbox by either adding the sending address to your Contacts list or by marking any incorrectly filed e-mail as "Not Spam". Here's how:

  • Open the latest issue of the e-mail you want to whitelist.
  • Click the More Options link. It's on the title line of the e-mail, over on the right, next to the date. (If you see "Hide Options" instead, then you already have the extra options visible and can just skip this step.)
  • When the extra options are visible (just below the subject line), click the Add sender to contacts list link.

Alternatively, you can just send an e-mail to service@nativityplay.com and that will add the address to your Contacts list automatically.

Even if the e-mail you send doesn't get through (for whatever reason), the act of sending it does the job of putting the address into your Contacts list.

If one of your email letter from service@nativityplay.com has been filtered into the Spam folder, you can prevent that ever happening again:

  • Click on the Spam link to open your Spam folder.
  • Click on the wrongly filtered e-mail to open it.
  • Click the Not Spam button at the top of the e-mail (right next to "Delete Forever").

SpamCop

If you're using SpamCop to filter your incoming e-mail, you can exempt email from service@nativityplay.com from the filtering process by adding the "From" address to your Whitelist. Here's how:

  • Open your browser and go to this page: http://webmail.spamcop.net/
  • Log into your SpamCop account.
  • Click on the Options icon in the toolbar.
  • Under Mail Management (in the middle), click SpamCop Tools .
  • Select Manage your personal whitelist .
  • Near the bottom, where it reads "Click here to add to your whitelist", click on Click here .
  • Enter the address  service@nativityplay.com in the first empty slot.
  • Click Submit .

  SpamAssassin

If you're using Spam Assassin to filter your incoming e-mail, you can exempt email from service@nativityplay.com from the filtering process by adding the "From" address to the Whitelist in your User Preferences. Here's how:

  • Search your hard drive for the spamassassin folder, then open it.
  • In that folder should be a file named user_prefs . Open it with a text editor (Notepad, for example). If there is no such file, you can create it. The detailed instructions are at http://spamassassin.taint.org/doc/Mail_SpamAssassin_Conf.html.
  • Make a new (blank) line in the file. On that line, enter whitelist_from , followed by the address  service@nativityplay.com
  • Save the file and close it.

Spamkiller

If you're using McAfee's Spamkiller to filter your incoming e-mail, you can exempt email from service@nativityplay.com from the filtering process by adding the "From" address to your list of Friends. Here's how:

  • On the Spamkiller sidebar, click Friends .
  • Click Add .
  • Enter the address service@nativityplay.com
  • Click the OK button.

  Mailblocks

If you're using Mailblocks to filter your incoming e-mail, you can exempt email from service@nativityplay.com from the filtering process by adding the "From" address to your "Accept Mail From" list of addresses. Here's how:

  • In Mailblocks, click the Addresses tab.
  • Select New .
  • Enter the address  service@nativityplay.com
  • In the Receiving Options , select Accept Mail From This Address .
  • In the Other Options , make sure Display in People Picker is not selected.
  • Click Submit .
  • Click OK .

MailShield

If you're using MailShield to filter your incoming e-mail, you can exempt The email from service@nativityplay.com  from the filtering process by adding the "From" address to your list of Friends. Here's how:

  • On the MailShield toolbar, click Friends .
  • Click Add .
  • Enter the address  service@nativityplay.com
  • Click the OK button.

  MailWasher

If you're using MailWasher to filter your incoming e-mail, you can exempt e-mail from the filtering process by adding the address service@nativityplay.com to your list of Friends.

Here's how:

  • In MailWasher, select Tools .
  • Select Blacklist & Friends .
  • On the right-hand side is the "Friends" list. Click the Friends Add button.
  • Select Plain email address .
  • Enter the address  service@nativityplay.com then click OK
  • Click OK again.

  Spam Inspector

If you're using Spam Inspector to filter your incoming e-mail, you can exempt email from service@nativityplay.com  from the filtering process.  Here's how:

  • Open Outlook.
  • On the Spam Inspector menu or toolbar, find and select Manage Friends List .
  • In the Add a New Friend area, select E-mail .
  • Enter the address  service@nativityplay.com
  • Click the >> (add) button.
  • Click Close .

Spam Interceptor

If you're using Spam Interceptor to filter your incoming e-mail, you can exempt email from service@nativityplay.com from the filtering process. by adding the address service@nativityplay.com  to your list of Trusted senders.

Here's how:

  • Open Spam Interceptor and select Authentication Lists .
  • Click Trusted .
  • Enter the address  service@nativityplay.com
  • Click Add .

Spam Sleuth

If you're using Spam Sleuth to filter your incoming e-mail, you can exempt The email from service@nativityplay.com  from the filtering process by adding the address service@nativityplay.com  to your list of Friends.

Here's how:

  • Open Spam Sleuth.
  • From the File menu, select Configure .
  • In the Friends category, make sure Active is selected.
  • In the space provided for the list, make a new (blank) line and on it enter the address  service@nativityplay.com
  • Click OK .

SpamButcher

If you're using Spam Butcher to filter your incoming e-mail, you can exempt email from service@nativityplay.com from the filtering process by adding the address service@nativityplay.com to your Known Senders list.

Here's how:

  • Open Spam Butcher and click the Configure button.
  • Select the Known Senders tab.
  • Under Known Good Senders and Recipients , click Add .
  • Enter the address  service@nativityplay.com
  • Click OK .

Spameater

If you're using Spameater to filter your incoming e-mail, you can exempt email from service@nativityplay.com from the filtering process by adding the address service@nativityplay.com to your list of Approved Senders.

Here's how:

  • On the Spameater sidebar, click Filters .
  • Select the Approved Senders tab.
  • Click Add Filter .
  • In the Address space, enter the address  service@nativityplay.com
  • For Address Type , select Full Email Address .
  • Click OK .

SpamNet

If you're using Cloudmark's SpamNet to filter your incoming e-mail, you can exempt email from service@nativityplay.com from the filtering process by adding the address service@nativityplay.com  to your Whitelist.

Here's how:

  • Open your Outlook Inbox.
  • On the Cloudmark SpamNet toolbar, click Options .
  • Click Advanced .
  • Select the Whitelist tab.
  • Click the Add button.
  • Enter the address  service@nativityplay.com and click the OK button.
  • Click OK again, then Yes , then OK one last time.
